On Earth Day, European ground squirrels were the main characters!

On the weekend before Earth Day, you could meet our CitellusLIFE project in two places.

Our colleagues, the experts from the Herman Ottó Institute, presented the newly completed CitellusLIFE European ground squirrel Conservation game, and through it the activities of the project, at the Székesfehérvár Sóstó Wildlife Protection Center and the Pálvölgyi Kőfejtő.

We also saw the relocated European ground squirrels at the Székesfehérvár location. Thanks to the great weather, many interested parties were able to try out their skills: they had to match the dangers lurking for European ground squirrels with the nature conservation activities that counteract them and help the European ground squirrels. After each correct answer, they could stamp a European ground squirrel on the habitat picture.
